Morningstar, Inc., the brainchild of stock analyst Joe Mansueto, has been a leader in the investment research field for more than thirty years, striving to deliver financial information into the hands of advisors and independent investors alike.

Though headquartered in Chicago, IL, other major Morningstar offices can be found in New York City, Shenzhen, London, Mumbai, and Sydney. As part of the Morningstar Development Program, you’ll most likely be starting your career in the Chicago office, only a few short blocks from Lake Michigan. The MDP program prides itself on hiring graduates from all kinds of educational backgrounds—English, Asian Studies, Business, History, French, and Philosophy, to name a few.

No matter your previous area of expertise, you’ll be given the tools you need to feel confident in the financial services industry. From informative seminars with Morningstar leaders about research methodologies, to hands-on product training with team members, you’ll gain insight into Morningstar’s products and values. Beginning with product support, you’ll learn the company from the ground up, working with financial advisors, institutions, and investors to understand data and provide essential services.

Whether you see yourself as a future data analyst or heading the charge recruiting future MDPs, you have a plethora of resources in front of you. Everything from coffee chats to stretch projects (check out our Your First Role and Educational Resources sections for more information) will build your confidence and skillset, preparing you for your next role within Morningstar.
